Shadow Shot Sunday...

Today's Shadow Shot Sunday is this old...read- comfortably broken in beautifully tinted yellow rocker. Makes me long for a iced cold, twenty-four ounce, fresh squeezed lemonade and a eighty degree morning...
Soon...Soon.

Everyone {luvs} a carnival!  It must be great to soar above the crowd, seemingly weightless with all 'awes' on you.
This is my shadow shot.

I {luv} the intensity with which this gentleman is engulfed in his reading.  The intensity of the shadow is a true 'reflection' of this scene.  ...and the water - I'm thirsty!
This shot is just  *{luv}-ly

Tracey , the mastermind behind SSS, has a big PROBLEM!! Her trusty computer has been struck by a bug!...UGH!!!
But, like all of us blog-obsessed bloggers, she was able to get a post in, before her screen faded to {black}. !WHEW!
So this shadow post is a 'two-fer' in attempt to give Tracey's computer a jolt back into the blogosphere...before the next Shadow Shot is due!

...Get Well Soon

Shadow Shot Sunday::

sometimes children do the darndest things!...even when they don't set out to.
The shadow from this 'Little One' and her umbrella are definitely an unexpected pleasure.
I am glad that it stopped raining in time enough to get this shot.

try your hand at this Shadow Shot Sunday meme and you just might end up as one of the shadows featured by Harriet.

Shadow Shot Sunday...

You know when you have those seemingly never-ending, forever challenging times of your life. Those moments when you think that you live under a very large black cloud. Those moments when no matter how hard you try to dig you way out of a hole {by the way...how the h*ll did I get into this hole in the first place?} all you find is that you're standing in a higher pile of dirt?
Oh yes, we all have had them some time or another.
Enter the above SSS photo.
I {luv} the innocence of the young child as she sits, not so quietly, but with definite intent on consuming the goodies in her little bag. All the while attempting to balance her petite frame back onto the aged, but sturdy, pew. The lesson:: Stay focused on the task at hand. Regain your footing by relying on those things/lessons that are steadfast, tried and true. Remember that the bag is always half full.
Then there is that phenomenal shadow of a cross cast onto the floor of this holy place of worship! Right at the feet of this {luv}-ly little soul. The lesson:: Simply put... with steadfast belief and commitment, all challenges can be overcome. And often times that ray of hope is right at your feet.

Every week a look forward to selecting a photo to post for Shadow Shot Sunday. There is a nice little place to visit if you'd like to see more. And if you want to get 'your shadow on' click on the picture below to get started.

Shadow Shot Sunday::

Remember the days of yesteryear, when the only thing that mattered
was turning cartwheels,

Playing hopscotch,

and jumping rope...Double Dutch style...?

Ideally, everyone should have a room of their own. If not a room, then a space, place, shoebox or, in the case of this shot- a corner.
I {luv} this shot because it reflects the quiet peacefulness that having a 'space' of one's own provides.
The clean lines cast by the welcoming rocking chair begs for a warm occupant to grab one of the good book and snuggle under the waiting blanket.
By clicking on the camera above, you can get in on the shadow fun, too!
